What changed

Base tokenized-stock yield activity has so far centered on vaults, carry trades, LP positions and PT/YT markets. The updated Aave V4 proposal introduces a concrete lending composition in which tokenized stocks directly collateralize USDC debt inside a dedicated Equities Hub. The proposed Collateral Factors are 78% for AAPLc, 73% for AMZNc, 76% for GOOGLc, 65% for METAc, 79% for MSFTc, 70% for NVDAc and 65% for TSLAc. The proposed USDC rate curve has a 0% base rate, 90% optimal usage, 4% rate growth below optimal, 20% above optimal and a 10% liquidity fee.

Why it matters

This would make tokenized stocks usable not only as spot exposure, LP inventory or carry-vault inputs, but as collateral for drawing USDC from a major lending protocol on Base. If deployed, it could support tokenized-equity-collateral lending for USDC suppliers, stock-backed borrowing, and downstream integrations with vaults and aggregators. Because the market is still at the governance stage, there is no live TVL, realized supply APY, borrowing demand or launch incentive to observe yet.

Evidence

  • Aave Governance — [ARFC] Deploy Aave V4 on Base — The ARFC updated on 2026-09-21 proposes a dedicated Equities Hub on Base using AAPLc, AMZNc, GOOGLc, METAc, MSFTc, NVDAc and TSLAc as collateral-only assets with USDC as the sole borrowable asset. It specifies a 32M USDC Add Cap, 21M USDC Draw Cap, equity Collateral Factors ranging from 65% to 79%, and Chainlink 24/5 total return feeds. Aave Labs also stated that the ARFC had been raised to Snapshot. 2026-09-22T15:45:44+09:00
  • CryptoFocus — Aave Base proposal puts tokenized equities behind USDC limits — An article published on 2026-09-22 summarizes the updated Aave V4 Base proposal as isolating seven tokenized equities in a dedicated Equities Hub with a 32M USDC Add Cap and 21M USDC Draw Cap, while noting that the market is not yet live and still requires Snapshot and AIP governance steps. 2026-09-22T15:45:44+09:00

Limitations

This is a governance-stage market design, not a live Aave V4 Equities Hub on Base, so there is no observable TVL, realized APY, borrow volume or incentive performance yet. The structure and parameters may change through Snapshot and AIP governance. The initial design relies on Chainlink 24/5 tokenized-equity feeds that hold the last value while the underlying equity market is closed, creating reopening-gap liquidation risk. Additional risks include issuer, custody, redemption and eligibility constraints for the tokenized stocks, secondary-market liquidity, oracle design, liquidations and smart-contract risk.
